Visibility determines who may discover and open a document; aircraft access and workflow ownership can further affect authorization.

  1. 1

    Identify the intended audience

Decide whether the record is appropriate for the partnership, aircraft-access members, maintenance managers, or a narrower supported scope.

  2. 2

    Set visibility during upload

Do not rely on the folder name alone to protect sensitive data.

  3. 3

    Test with a representative role

Confirm that an ordinary member and any restricted-aircraft member see the intended result.

  4. 4

Review after role or aircraft changes

Access changes can alter who is eligible to see connected records.

  5. 5

    Use secure sharing outside AirplaneHQ
